The park has been formed from the reclamation of wastelands by the Tatura community working closely with Council and Government agencies.
The wetlands area provides educational opportunities and passive recreation with a number of bird hides, an observation deck and an abundance of indigenous plants and animals.
Rare bird species are frequent visitors with the park being the only place you see many of these species in the Goulburn Valley. Many birds have travelled from as far as Japan and Siberia.
The Park's other inhabitants include tortoises, lizards, snakes and frogs which are more likely to be heard than seen.
