This lovely walk takes you from Jacana to Broadmeadows station (or vice versa).
The walk is predominantly within the ‘Jacana Valley’, a very green open sanctuary including the Jacana wetlands. Jacana Valley is located approximately 13km north of Melbourne, boarded by suburbs of Jacana, Gladstone Park and Broadmeadows.
The walk begins and ends at train stations, however the route can easily be altered for local residents and/or to connect to other local walks. The “Moonee Ponds Creek Trail – Westmeadows” connects to this walk and is great extension or alternative end route.
The route is great for all walkers, however you need to be careful at the beginning at end of the walk as there are busy road crossings – always cross with the traffic lights!
