This walks combines beach and bay views, a great place for art lovers, some design and a special surprise for the spirits drinkers!
We start at the end stop of the 109 Tram: Beacon Cove. If your arrived with an empty stomach, than there are enough places to eat! Watch the crowd taking or leaving the ferry to Tasmania or tourists who spend their holiday at a cruise ship (if it's docked today).
Walk a long the beach and see interesting points, for example drawing to celebrate the community of Port Melbourne, a memorial place or the Port Melbourne Yacht Club.
With this beautiful beach on your right, don't forget to look left once and a while as well for some crazy architecture or a peep in between the buildings on the Melbourne skyline.
If we turn right into Pickles Street, we walk along an old whiskey distillery which is now transformed into housing. Then we arrive at the Gasworks Arts Park with a quit park, restaurants and try to find some fun hidden art work!
Via Richardon Street we walk to Bay Street for our shopping, food & drinks, but not before we make a stop in the Lagoon reserve.

The reinforced concrete pillar is the only remnant of the Centenary bridge. The bridge was considered to be the first part of a grand scheme for a waterfront boulevard that is never fully realized.
