This is a great circuit walk with fabulous views. It has one short, steep climb.
This walk begins and ends at a nursery/ cafe in East Albury. Most of the walk is on walking tracks although a small sector is on a busy road. It follows a lagoon near the Murray river up to some scenic lookouts.

The walk starts at the Peards Nursery complex on the Riverina Highway (Borella Rd) Great place for a post walk cuppa or lunch. From here follow the walking path beside the road.
Take care as you walk along the road as some drivers may not stick to the speed limit.
Take the turn off around the gate onto the bush track. Look out for water birds as you pass the lagoon.
Cross the footbridge at the end of the lagoon and continue to follow the path.
For the next section of the walk we are following a small part of the 440km Hume and Hovell Walking Track. Follow the distinctive markers. The hill is steep but stop often and take in the views.
Rest on the chair and take in the views . On a clear Winter day you can even see the Victorian snowfields. After this head back and continue along the ridge.
This lookout, located at telecommunications towers, has toilets and picnic tables in addition to the great views.
Beware as you cross the road as it is a busy one.
At the corner of East and Walsh Sts you go past a gate and onto a bush track to continue the walk. There are a number of side tracks here but follow the main track heading North to Keane St.
Turn right and walk past the hospital; nearly there.
The walk is over. Time to visit the cafe, gift shop or nursery. This complex is very popular with locals and visitors alike.
