We walked around Tyndale Christian School and assessed the walkability of the area.

1. GRAFFITI ON BUS STOP
This bus stop is poorly maintained because it has graffiti on the back of it and needs to be re-painted.
2. BUTTON AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS
This button needs to be updated because the writing has been worn of and it needs to be visible but is not.
3. DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE
This is really dangerous because the sign is not readable and it contains important information.
4. WIRE ON POLE WITH FLOWERS
Someone put a piece of wire around the post and then put some flowers in the wire to make it prettier but it is dangerous because the wire sticks out.
5. LITTER
This piece of litter is a cigarette packet and has been dropped near the school fence and is really bad.
6. BUS STOP #45 (near Tyndale Christian School)
This bus stop has a safety guard for the children at Tyndale Christian School, so they don't go on London Drive.
7. SLIPPERY GRAVEL ON FOOTPATH
This gravel is really unsafe because it is really slippery and people can trip or slip on it.
8. UPENDED FOOTPATH
This was a footpath but the council let the tree next to it grow and it has destroyed the footpath and the concrete has lifted up and is dangerous.
9. FENCE AROUND TYNDALE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
This fence goes all of the way around the school and provides a sense of security as well as stopping students from wagging school.
10. TRIPPING HAZZARD ON POLE
This pole is a tripping hazard for people because the concrete has lifted up. Also around the concrete the dirt has been dug up so it is easier to trip on.
11. PLAYGROUND
The playground creates a space for families with kids to come and enjoy a day out.
12. INFORMATION SIGN AT INTERSECTION
This sign provides the general public of local shops and other public services. This is highly visible and well maintained.
13. FENCE AROUND DAVEY OVAL
The fence helps to protect any kids that are on the oval. This fence is made out of metal, so kids can't easily run onto the road.
14. JACARANDA TREES
The Jacaranda trees are there because they are associated with wealthy and established areas.
15. UNSAFE WIRE ON A LIGHT POST
This is an unsafe post because it has fencing wire that has not being maintained and is quite dangerous for the general public.
16. TRAFFIC LIGHT BLOCKAGE
this set of traffic lights is blocked by the trees. this makes it hard for drivers to see the traffic lights and when they are meant to go or to stop.
17. END OF STREET BLOCK OFF
This is good because is stops people from going over the curb and into traffic on Gloucester Ave.
18. POORLY MAINTAINED TREE
This tree is poorly maintained and it is bleeding. this not a good appearance to the public.
19. LOST CAT SIGN ON FIRE HYDRANT
This unsafe for the general public because if there was afire it would not be easy to access the fire hydrant because of this lost cat poster.
20. CONCRETE STEPPING STONES
These have been poorly maintained stones and there is grass growing that has not been cut for a while. this is a fire hazard in summer and it needs to be cut immediately.
21. SAFETY RAIL FOR THE DISABLED AND ELDERLY
This is located on curb. Reflective strips on rail so car can see at night. Elderly and disabled can hang onto this before they cross the road.
22. DOGGY POOP BAGS
The council has very generously provided dog poop bags. Unfortunately some people don't use the bags that are provided. Also there is some graffiti on this sign.
23. DRAINAGE UPLIFTED
There is a drain on the oval, this is quite unsafe because it is easy to trip on this drain cover.
24. POST OFFICE BOX
This post office box enables you to post letters and important documents. It is bright red so you cannot miss it. It is located next to footpath near the deli.
25. TELEPHONE BOX
This telephone box is good because it provides the public an accessible phone if needed. There is a tripping hazard in the box because the footpath is lifted higher than the concrete.
