We walked around Tyndale Christian School and assessd the walkability of the area

Points of Interest
1. Pedestrian crossing
A pedestrian crossing helps pedestrians walk across a road safely. As we were walking we saw 1 pedestrian crossing near the junior school, we think there should be a lot more around Adelaide suburbs.
2. Parking signs
We saw a lot of parking signs along the roads we were traveling. Parking signs help the cars on the road travel though safely. they stop traffic and make the traffic flow though quicker.
3. Fences
There were fences surrounding schools and houses. fences protect the students by keeping them safe from bad people or don't hurt themselves.
4. speed signs covered by trees
there were lots of speed signs surrounding the area, however most of them were covered by trees. this is really dangerous for the cars and pedestrians. cars could go over the speed limit and crash.
5. Dog poo
Dog poo can cause serious harm to animals if they eat it. It also looks very gross. as we were walking through the soccer oval, we saw plenty of dog poo and it really stunk.
6. Pedestrian rails
Pedestrian rails helps cars see you when you are walking across the road. it also good for old people so they can hold on the rail when about to cross the road. we saw lots of rails up near the deli.
7. cigarette packets
Cigarette packets can cause serious harm to little children and animals. we didn't just find cigarette packets but we also found cigarettes lying on the ground.
8. Graffiti
As we were walking past the deli, we found graffiti everywhere. this isn't a good look for the surrounding areas and community.
9. bins
There were 2 bins around the soccer park. bins are meant to be used for putting litter in however the bins had graffiti on them. this is also not a good look for the community.
10. soccer clubs
A soccer club is a great way to keep your children fit and healthy. It is a great way for you children to make friends.
11. trees
Trees are a great way to help the environment by producing oxygen into the air. It is also provides shade for when it is a hot day.
12. Footpaths
There were heaps of footpaths around the area but they were all cracked and uneven. this isn't a safe way to walk because you could trip or hurt yourself
13. post box
A post box is a convenient place if you want to send a letter to your friends and family. There was a post-box near the deli and was next to the telephone box.
14. Street lights
Street lights are a great way to keep the road safe at night. it helps the cars see clearly when dark. we saw street lights in only 3 streets. There should be street lights in every street.
15. Poisonous Mushrooms
Poisonous mushrooms are very dangerous for animals that eat or touch it. As we were walking we noticed that these mushrooms are everywhere and not attractive for the community.
16. Seating
At the park there was plenty of seating. seating allows parents to sit down and watch their children play soccer or on the playground we think there is enough seating at the park to sit back and relax
17. dog poo bags
The council provides dog poo bags so you can keep the area clean and tidy. This is a good resource to have because it provides a safe and clean park for children.
18. bus stop
The bus stop is very helpful when you need to use public transport or don't have a car. It is also helpful when you need help in finding a road or house.
19. The playground
The playground is a great place for children to have a safe and fun experience. It allows children and parents to spend quality time together in a clean and well maintained environment.
20. traffic lights
Traffic lights are a great way of keeping the roads safe, However these traffic lights were covered by hanging branches by trees. This is a bad impact on our neighbourhood roads.
21. Deli
It is great to have a deli in your neighbourhood because it is convenient to the locals and provides a great experience for the workers and customers. It is a great place to make friends with locals.
22. telephone box
There was a telephone box near the deli. it is a great idea to have a telephone box because if you don't have a phone or car, you can call someone to come pick you up.
23. wires pocking out of light poles
As we were walking, we had to watch out for metal wires pocking out of light poles. this is a serious safety hazed because someone could do a lot of damage.
24. litter
as we were walking there was litter everywhere. this could do serious harm to animals if they were to put it in there mouth. the council should do a yard clean up.
25. speed humps
Speed humps are a good idea to slow down traffic and have less of a chance of an accident. as we were walking we saw a lot of them on the road.
