Summary

A relaxing walk that suits many people. This walk has many look out points that present a lovely view over Pakenham. This walk is dog friendly, it has a lot of flora surrounding it. Overall very nice.

Description

On a nice day this walk is very enjoyable and relaxing. With many different quirks that normal lakes don't have, this is ideal for fitness as there a many spots around the lake that have fitness activities. Located at the top of the lake is a shaded barbecue area, this attracts many families who want a good day out. A major perk is that the walk is friendly to dogs providing they are on leashes. The walk has many ammenities such as benches,bins,drink taps and concrete paving. Another major activity that attracts many people is the fishing that is very popular. I rated this track intermediate as there is a large hill that is involved in the walk. I would definitely recommend this walk as it is a very fun physical walk to go on.

1. Pakenham look out.

This point of interest focuses on the attractive look out that views Pakenham.This is a hard place to get to as it is at the top of a hill.This is safe for young children as the railing is quite high.

2. Shaded barbecue area

This area attracts many families , that are having days out together on a nice sunny day. It also has benches and rubbish bins to.

3. Fitness area

There is many of these fitness areas located around the lake. They have a board next to it that tells you how to use them

4. Fountain

A lovely fountain runs that is in the middle of the lake. This ammenitie shows modernness that is very nice to look at

This concrete path is a smooth path that has been constructed well, this allows wheels to run freely without cracks in it or gaps.

6. Useful area

This area may seem pointless but it's not as it holds a bin and a bench that is located perfectly right after the hill.

7. Fishing and sitting area

This area is perfect for fishing and sitting down, this is because there is multiple sitting area that have been built. The fish that are caught in this area are rainbow trout and trout.

8. Maintained

As Melbourne has many brown snakes that lurk around on hot days in long grass. The council have kept this walks flora predominantly short and maintained.
