Southbank has recently been opened up for residential properties. Prior to this, it was farmland and was not easily accessible to the public. You may like to park your car on the south side of the Wimmera Bridge near 3WM to commence your walk. From here it is a simple walk following the river. For a start the track is sealed gravel which then becomes a concrete footpath. This track will take you along the bank of the river until the houses run out. With future developments it is anticipated this track will officially continue on. Currently there is a dirt track which does continue on by the banks of the river but is quite rough. This unofficial track continues to the ?Boardwalk?, the only other way across the river other than the Wimmera Bridge, a few kilometres along.
