Description

Find out more

This is actually a series of smaller walks connecting into one larger loop. Starting a the lovely Masons Falls Picnic Area it is a short 700m walk to the Masons Falls viewing platform. lovely at all times of year it can be particularly impressive after a large fall of rain. From Masons Falls the walk follows the Running Creek track along Running Creek (how surprising!!) befor leaving the creek and climbing to the Mount Sugarloaf lookout. On a clear day the view reaches all the way to Melbourne and can be quite impressive. If you are doing the full loop this is where the walk gets easier and mostly downhill. You can return the way you came or follow the Mount Sugarloaf Ridge Trail to the Blackwood Picnic Area. From the Blackwood Picnic area you cut back across the Wallaby Trail and get a second pass at the Masons Falls Viewing Platform before returning to the Masons Falls Picnic Area.
