Description

Begin your journey at the Portland Visitor Information Centre and head north along the Great South West Walk path toward Nun's Beach. Continue to walk until your reach the staircase and head up toward the top of the cliff. Enjoy the view of the Port of Portland and then continue to head north along the cliff walk toward the Portland Lighthouse. After taking in the history, continue to head along the coast and toward the Whale Viewing Platform where - at the right time of year - you may just see some whales! Have a look around, visit the Water Tower Museum, and then return back toward the Information Centre. Or, if you're feeling more adventurous, continue your walk along the coast and follow the signs for the Great South West Walk.
