Summary

A walk through the Gresswell Forest Wildlife Reserve

Description

We will meet up at the BBQ areas at 7PM on 18Feb opposite 233 Greenwood Drive, Watsonia. Please park in Greenwood Drive as there is LIMITED parking at the Reserve Parking area.

There is a water fountain & public toilets for your convenience.

We will enter the reserve gates, and walk along the Dianella Track that runs along the northern boundary in a clockwise direction. At the northwestern corner we will go due south and follow the Yellowbox Track along the western boundary. At the junction of the Antechinus Track / Forestwood Drive entry, we will continue along the Western Boundary Track. We will take the next left (some way down) onto the Acacia Track, from where we will turn right onto the Salt Creek Track. At the intersection we with the Southern Boundary Track, we will turn left, to the South Eastern corner of the reserve. Here we will continue along the Gaza Strip, and then onto the Billabong Track for a short while & then turn right onto the Eastern Boundary Track.

At the junction of the Centre & Dianella Track we will go south along the Centre Track to do a loop within the centre of the reserve. At the Acacia & Bell Miner Track, we go left on the latter, and then left along Grasslands Track. This forms a T-junction with Billabong Track. We will do a left here, and soon after a right onto Swampgum Track. We follow this to Centre Track where we turn right & head out of the reserve to the BBQ area for refreshments.
