The walk rated intermediate as it can be a little hard work walking on the soft sand, particularly at high tide, and there are a couple of rocky ledges to climb over along the beach.
If you are after a longer walk, this one connects to the Casuarina walk via the Heathland walk.
There are toilets and seats at end of walk at Bastion Point.

The start of the walk begins at the steps down to the beach.
As you can see, it starts as a nice wide beach of soft sand.
A little inlet can be found near the start of the walk.

Immediately after the rocky ledge we were surprised to find this sand dune that is obviously very popular.
This fishing spot can be accessed by the Tip Beach carpark at the end of Nelsons Drive.
We walked at hightide and there wasn't much beach to walk along.
