Starting and finishing at St Vincent Gardens, this walk takes you past a few of the many parks, historic and cultural features of South Melbourne.
From St Vincent Place, head South East to pass Albert Park and Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (optional detour around the lake for a longer walk), head north to see the See Yup Chinese Temple, Skinners Adventure Playground, South Melbourne Town Hall and South Melbourne Market before completing the loop back to St Vincent Gardens.

Designed in 1868, St Vincent Gardens is of national significance for its National Trust registered gardens. The gardens feature a lawn bowls club, tennis club, RSL memorial and memorial rest house.
If you feel like a longer walk, try the 5 km track around Albert Park Lake. Watch out for one of the bird species living on Gunn Island. Native and introduced vegetation includes the corroboree tree.

The South Melbourne Town Hall was built in the Victorian period in the Academic Classical style. The Town Hall houses City of Port Phillip services and Australian National Academy of Music.
