The Kookaburra Bush Circuit is a scenic route that circles the Frankston Reservoir. Being almost 3.3km, this circuit may be seen as more of a challenge, with some of the path involving steps, hills and uneven ground. Keeping this in mind, the walk is not accessible for wheelchairs and prams.
You can access this walk either by driving, and parking in the car park, or catching public transport, as there is a bus stop (Sanders Rd/ Moorooduc Hwy) 850m away, which takes 10 minutes to walk from.
There are benches available at the carpark and along the circuit if you would like a rest or need a minute to look around and take in the scenery. Please be aware that there are no toilets or drinking fountains available.
The Frankston Nature Conservation Reserve is a lush, vibrant and diverse environment, home to lots of wildlife. As a result of this, dogs and other animals, as well as cyclists are not permitted on this circuit.
The circuit is easy to follow due to the multiple signs and directions along the way. There is also an information board in the car park that highlights each of the circuit options around the reservoir.
