The Red Gum Reserve is situated at the Southern end of Briagolong.
The reserve is home to a range of fauna, including common brushtail possums, sugar gliders and echidnas, frequently seen in spring, eastern bluetongue lizards and red-bellied black snakes. A diverse range of bird life visits the forest ranging from the majestic wedge-tail eagles to tiny yellowrumped thornbills.
A car park is provided in Cemetery Road together with interpretive signage and seating. Seating is again provided approximately every 500m of the walk to enable visitors to relax and enjoy the kangaroos and variety of birdlife that inhabit the bushland.
