Description

Find out more

This walk starts from Cape Schanck and ends with a walk down to the breathtaking and wild Bushranger's Bay beach.

This walk has a few stairs and elevations so it is a moderate to challenging walk, but well worth it!

This section of the Mornington Peninsula National Park was purchased from abutting farms in 1977. A guide to this nature walk is available at the Cape Schanck kiosk for a small fee.

SWIMMING IS NOT RECOMMENDED at any point of this walk as the beach is unpatrolled and often hazardous due to strong rips and large waves.

Also be careful when walking on the rocks (even at low tide) as there can be sudden large waves,. It is strongly advised you stay back and up on the beach.

FURTHER NOTES
Bushrangers Bay can also be accessed along Main Creek from the Boneo Road car park and picnic area (2.5km).

This walk is the final section of the longer Two Bays Walking Track done in reverse. The Two Bays Walking Track is a 26.5km one-way walk (8 to 10 hours) from the Dromana foreshore on Port Phillip Bay, which finishes at Cape Schanck. Parks Victoria recommends the full Two Bays Trail be undertaken by experienced walkers over two days as it contains some steep, rocky sections.
