Summary

Long walk following the eastern part of Dandenong Creek from Boronia to Bayswater park, one of Melbourne's best playgrounds

Description

The walk is part of the longer Dandenong Creek trail. I have started the walk at Boronia Rd just west of Eastlink. The path travels north and then heads east under east link before following the contours of Dandenong Creek. The walk is quiet and secluded though quite open and often runs adjacent to sporting grounds and schools. The walk finishes (or begins!) at Bayswater Park which features an old steam engine and lots of creative slides (including a steel elephant frame and a climbing web) and an adventure playground.
This walk is suited to families who want a nice bike ride, scooter/walk to Bayswater park and back.
