Points of Interest

1. Public bus stop no.2

It's a good way of transport for the students at Salisbury East and the community to use.

2. dog droppings

This is an unpleasant surprise to anyone using the playground or the soccer oval.

3. Speeding reminder

This helps the cars to slow down and be able to stop quickly if needed. It keeps peace and quiet for the surrounding houses too.

4. Busy intersection

It increases the chances that an accident may happen.

5. Drain

The drain reduces the chances of a flood happening in the suburbs.

6. Information about a childcare center

The child care center is good for new families who need someone to look after their child or children.

7. Shaped pathway

The shaped pathway is to keep smaller children or any people using the path to stay away from the busy roads. It makes the crossing look and work safer for all ages.

8. Public telephone booth

The public telephone is convenient to the community because if you lose your phone, you can call on the public telephone or if u don't have a phone its a way to contact anyone.

It is good because the person that has lost their cat can get the community to help them find it.

10. Path swapping

The path stopped on one side of the road and started to continue on the other.

11. Public bus stop

The public bus stop is a convenient way of transport for the kids who need it, and for the public surrounding the school.

This was a hazard to the public and students which were walking to school, also a tripping hazard to anyone using the paths for their own personal reasons such as walking a pet or exercising.

13. Traffic lights

The traffic lights allow students from both schools (Salisbury East and Tyndale) to cross the road safely and prevent car crashes from occurring.

14. Deli

The deli is convenient for the people living near by, and is passive surveillance which will help the confidence of the people walking by.

15. Local Playground

This is a playground which is close to peoples homes

Reduces the amount of litter in the community.

17. Post box

The post box is a close method which allows locals to send letters around the globe.

18. Reflectors by the walking ramps

This reflector allows near by cars to see the reflectors in the dark, so if a person if there they don't get hurt.

19. Speed signs

This speed sign lets passing cars know that they need to slow down because students are crossing the road.

20. Dog poo bags

This is something to help keep the oval and park/playground area clean and ready for the sports trainings.

21. graffiti

This makes Salisbury look untidy and it encourages more people to graffiti and to commit bad behaviour.

22. Salisbury east soccer club

It is good for kids to learn soccer and anyone can go there at anytime. It also makes Salisbury look nice and is good for recreation purposes.

23. Long grass

This long grass can attract snakes and also makes the deli look really untidy, but it also is a fire hazard.

24. Information board

It's a good indication of where different places are.

25. Even and tidy roads

The roads are an important part of walkability for schools the soccer club and the deli, but they also increase chances of new families looking for a home or a school for their child or children.
