This is a route around the Darley area, travelling along the river, past parks and shops.
This walk begins by heading towards the Darley Oval, here you can stop for a play, kick a ball, play tennis or pop over to the Darley Bakehouse across the road for a snack. After leaving the park you will head down the tree lined Bacchus Marsh-Gisborne Rd. On the right beside the river is another play ground to stop and have a break at. Turn west into Albert st, here you will find a strip of shops, the fish and chip shop would be a great place for lunch. Continue along Albert St and turn right into Fitzroy st and follow this north to the river. Turn left and follow the path along the river. Turn left into Cairns Drive there is another park here to stop and have a play at. Continue to follow Cairns drive until in turns into Albert st until you're back at your starting point. This route is suitable for running/jogging, only a short distance doesn't have paths.
