You can start the walk at various places. If you want to park you car safely, the best choices are the car park at the corner of Cabana Cresc and Park Rd, or at the end of Rae St. Reasonably flat throughout except around Stamford Rd.

Although it is a very long trail, this last section, running between hunting dale and Warrigal Rds, is a pleasant 2km walk
The trail skirts Oakleigh Public Golf Course for much of its length
The track continues between the golf course, and a swimming pool and fitness centre.
Opened in the 1930s, the bridge has some attractive art deco features.
If you are walking there and back again you can cross the bridge to a short alternative track to Park Rd.
This bridge links Cole Cresc to Caloola Reserve
The creek has run most of its course freely, but from here on it is channeled along a drain.
The creek disappears under the Monash Freeway here, next to the Federation Training Centre, which is a major energy sector training centre.
