Start at the trail gate opposite the bus car park and follow the Lyrebird track. At the end, turn right onto Hall Track and follow it until the track intersects with Neumann Track (vehicle track). Turn right onto Neumann Track and follow it all the way until it reaches Lyrebird Track. Turn left on Lyrebird Track and follow it back to where you commenced at Grants Picnic Ground.
This walk is suitable for visitors with mobility limitations using a Parks Victoria TrailRider all-terrain wheelchair. Minimum of four chair operators is recommended and the chair is available for visitors to borrow for free at the Grants On Sherbrooke Cafe.

Mountain Ash are the tallest flowering plants in the world. This tree was once struck by lightning and is now completely hollow.
Superb Lyrebirds live in the forest. The male has a magnificent lyre-like, lacy, plumed tail which he fans out and raises above his head during his courtship dance. These birds are remarkable mimics.
This example of cool temperate rainforest with many beautiful tree ferns is a lovely cool spot to rest a moment.
Look down to the forest floor and find Jelly Fungus. Jelly fungi make rubbery, seaweed-like mushrooms. They are coloured white, orange, pink, rose, brown or black.
Yellow-bellied gliders! They are notoriously picky eaters. While they may consume a variety of foods, like insects and nectar, they have the unusual habit of tapping tree sap.
Lovely grassy meadow, great for a picnic or a snack. A replica of the Glenrowan pub was built in this meadow for a scene in the film ‘A true history of the Kelly gang’.
