Summary

in this walk, you will get an idea of what Wantirna is about as you walk past the popular primary schools and ovals while we go past the Dandenong creek trail and see the beautiful wildlife.

Description

we will meet at 8.00 am at Wantirna college office then walk through all of the Wantirna backstreets and walk to Schultz reserve and do a lap around there. from there we will walk onto the blind creek trail as we continue on this for around 2 km as we take our time looking at the beautiful wildlife and calming river. once we jump off the Dandenong creek trail we will go up Wantirna road and have a quick bite at KFC or subway and then from there, we will walk back to school going through Ainsdale and kidderminster drive.

Points of Interest

1. kfc

we can get something to eat near the end of our walk. there is also a cold rock, subway, and HSP takeaway there

2. jw manson reserve

There is a fenced re-vegetation zone on the northern side. there are three ovals. on the southwest corner, you'll see the Margaret Valastro Pavilion with some bins. dogs are aloud off-leash there

3. dandenong creek river

Dandenong creek trail is a beautiful place to walk along with getting bike tracks, nature, and animal life. walk a bit further and you will learn about this trail with historical facts along the way

4. ainsdale playground

aisdale avenue playground is a great place for your kid to play outdoors. the playground has a spiral ladder, fireman's pole, tunnel, ladders, rope bridge, rope tunnel bridge, tic-tac-toe, etc.
