There are shorter versions of this 6.2km loop walk that are signed on the walk.
One is a 3km / 1 hour walk.
The other is a 4 km / 1.5 hour walk.
We recommend the full 6.2km walk, shown here (if you can).
Sam's Walk is named in honour of Alan 'Sam" Bruton who was a South West Victoria's Chief District Ranger, and who had the original idea for the 10-day, 250km Great South West Walk in 1980.
This is a beautiful walk.
Note: There are a lot of wind turbines along the walk, which can be noisy and may be off-putting for some people (but we think it's worth persevering!)
