Summary

A quick loop around the back of the hub along the Rail Trail and back to Inspiro via the main street. Some fantastic public art to see on your walk.

Description

Come out of the Belgrave Hub and take a moment to enjoy the large scale sculpture called Lessons from the Forest Floor.

Walk down through the carpark alongside Cameo Cinema. A pink coloured mural will be on the wall to your left.

Head down through the Belgrave Community Garden and follow the footpath as it sweeps to the right. Take care as the footpath turns to large stone pavements. Take the steps down towards the Ringwood-Belgrave Rail Trail. You can choose to go left towards Belgrave or right towards Tecoma. This walk takes you to the left.

Follow the rail trail as it winds behind the cameo and the shops. The railway line will be to your right. The trail heads up a slight incline and joins a laneway behind the shops. There are a couple of options to cut your walk short if you want a quicker loop.

Follow the laneway to the right towards Belgrave. Some amazing graffiti art can be seen all along this route. See the rosella, puffing billy, the ducks and many more.

Follow your way to the intersection of Blacksmiths Way and the laneway. A magnificent platypus mural is on the wall. To the right you will see the entrance to the Belgrave train Station.

Turn left up Blacksmiths way. Another mural on your left features a farm and cows. Turn left onto Burwood Hwy and make your way back to the hub past the shops.

This 10-15 min walk is part of Inspiro's commitment to encouraging staff to move more before, during or after work.
