Description

The Hastings Foreshore Recreational Walking Track is a leisurely trail that is 2.3km. This option is the blue track on the map they provide at the beginning of the trail. This walk runs through a reserve with lots of green space, and also stretches across the picturesque foreshore. The red and green walking tracks offer a shorter distance, if preferred.

The trail is suitable for walking, bike riding, and there is a designated off leash dog area . It is important to note that some short sections may require dogs to be put on leash and for bike riders to dismount according to the signage. As most of the track is flat it is accessible for prams, however as there are sections with varying surfaces (unevenness, tree roots and slight inclines) it may not be appropriate for wheelchair access. However, the other routes in this area may be more suitable.

There is plenty of parking, seating, playgrounds, exercise equipment, BBQ’s and even a skate park. The location provides many opportunities for a fun day out.
