Summary

Warm up before your gym session at Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre, by following a loop which accesses the Anniversary Trail, Gardiners Creek Trail and then back towards the Recreation Centre.

Description

From the Recreation Centre walk along Samarind Ave towards Victory Blvd. Walk down Victory Blvd towards a small row of shops. Cross over to Alamein Ave and walk towards Alamein Station. Cross of Ashburn Grove and walk towards the Laurel St. Anniversary Trail entrance. Walk along the shared Anniversary Trail, with plenty of seating options along the trail. There is an option to join a shortcut that links from the trail to Winton Rd. and then Ashburn Grove. At the end of the Anniversary Trail walk along Ryburn Ave looping to Ashburn Grove. Enjoy the leafy suburban streets ending at Markham Ave. Cross over Markham Ave onto the shared Gardiners Creek Trail. Walk along the trail towards Markham Avenue Reserve. At the reserve there are plenty of seating options and a bathroom facility. From the reserve cross to Warner Ave. and walk up towards Wewak Rd. Cross the road and walk along Warner Ave towards Alamein Ave. Cross the road and walk up to Warner Reserve. Enjoy the sights of off leash dogs with plenty of seating available. Come down from the reserve and carefully walk along Warner Ave towards Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre. Choose either the ramp or stairs to enter the Recreation Centre.
