Description

Along the walk six main ares were visited to access the suitability of the area based on the following criteria; footpaths facilities, crossing the road, traffic, safety and aesthetics.
The six sites visited were:
-St Helen's Park
-Milner Park
-BP Service Station
-Prospect Primary School
-Coles
-Prospect Oval/Park
Along the way, points of interest were noted including potential issues for walkability and other featues which enhance the suburb

Points of Interest

1. BP Service Station

A good place to take a break and have a bite to eat, and easy to get to by just crossing the street.

2. Coles Supermarket

A good place to take a break and have a bite to eat, and easy to get to by just crossing the street.

3. Dark alley way

Not much lighting and very cramped, not a good place to walk through in the dark.

4. Syringe

Found a syringe walking pass.

5. Prospect Primary School

A co-ed Primary School with around 400 students. Easily walk able to drop of the kids. Address: 27 Gladstone Rd, Prospect SA 5082

6. Rosary School

Close to Prospect Primary School also very easy to get to.

7. Road Work

Can cause traffic jams that can disrupt the crossings.

8. Saint Helens Park

Open up area to picnic or to have a break, right next to some basketball courts and Prescott college, also includes a playground and Public Restrooms.

10. Memorial Gardens

A good place to stop and have a picnic, it includes 2 electric Barbecues, a playground, Public Toilets and home for the Tennis Club.

11. Prospect Oval

home to both the North Adelaide Football Club, who are a part of the SANFL, and the Prospect Cricket Club, who are members of the SAGCL.
