Points of Interest

1. Jetty

Begin with a walk out on this jetty near the Warneet boat ramp.

2. Pelicans!

Western Port is recognised as a 'wetland of international importance' under an international treaty called the Ramsar Convention so local and international birds can be seen here.

3. Warneet coastline from the jetty

Looking back at the Warneet Motor Yacht Club and boat ramp.

4. Fisherman and fishing boats

Try your luck at fishing while you are here, you are likely to have some company!

5. Beach

If the tide is out you can walk along the beach for sections of the walk.

6. Seat and view

Take a seat, there are plenty along the way.

7. Mangroves and rowboat

A local coming ashore from his boat.

8. Track

The track is flat and well defined. Pack your hat on the sunny days as it is mostly exposed.

9. Jetty near Warneet North Boat Club

Enjoy the view from this shady picnic area.

10. Picnic area

There are many facilities here to make for a pleasant stop. Picnic tables and BBQ's and a toilet and shelter shed.

11. Cute bridge

Another opportunity to walk along the beach.

Another spot for a picnic is by the Warneet reserve. There are drinking water taps here.

14. Lookout

Have an elevated view over the coastal vegetation and the Rutherford inlet.

You can see why Warneet is a perfect spot for fishing and boating and for our feathered friends to roost, breed and feed!

This is the end of this walk but you can keep going along this marked walk through the Warneet Nature Reserve.
