Description
The Bay Trail walk is along the Rosebud beach and this walk is a 2km section of the trail. It is a great walk, amongst trees with glimpses of the beach scenery. There is accessible parking and bus stops along the whole trail.
This walk can start/ finish at either end of the walk and can be shortened or extended to suit your needs.
Pedestrians must share the path with cyclists and dogs that should be on leash. With many places to stop and rest, such as picnic benches, the walk is a calm and leisurely experience.
The trail does run through the Rosebud camp grounds where some of the path is also used by cars. Additionally, during periods when the camp grounds are open for public use, the area may be more busy and populated.
Parts of the trail are slightly rocky, slippery and uneven so it is important to wear proper footwear.
The Bay Trail is not accessible for prams or wheelchairs, as path is too narrow and may contain obstacles, such as puddles or rocks.
